who we are.
Soli Deo Gloria means to God alone be the glory. Vocationally, ministerially, physically, mentally, spiritually, any other type of -lly we can think of — God deserves the praise. “For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.” (Colossians 1:16)
We believe there is one God who exists distinctly as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, yet equally one and the same God. We believe there is one way to the Father, Jesus Christ the Son of God, Word become flesh and sent to live a perfect life and die on behalf of mankind, that all who put their faith in Him and endure to the end will receive eternal life and resurrection from the dead.
We believe that mankind is fallen and broken by nature, and that because Adam and Eve rebelled against God through disobedience, we all suffer from the effects of sin (Genesis 3). We believe that by the blood of Jesus Christ shed for us, and the grace of God to call us to Himself, we have salvation and life in abundance through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 3:23-24, Ephesians 2:1-10)
We believe that the Bible, Genesis through Revelation is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, written by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe it is perfect and inerrant, profitable for teaching, correction, and equipping us daily to live a godly life to the glory of God (2 Timothy 3:16).
We aren’t a church, but we are a part of it. We are all members of one body (which is Jesus Christ, Ephesians 4:15-16), given gifts by God to live out His will for our lives: walk by the Spirit, worthy of the Gospel, live by faith, and glorify God in all we do (1 Corinthians 10:31, Col. 3:17).
So because of all this, because Christ is in us, because He sustains our very breath, our response is to give Him everything.
Jesus is our everything.
To God alone be the glory.
